You’re not the first person to call me a bully and you’re not the first person I’ve responded to about this name. I don’t see myself as a bully and I think if you actually sat down and read my blog you’d see that I am not a bully. I’m not a bully. I’m a BS caller. I didn’t bully this woman. I didn’t call her ugly or tell her I despised her or tell her she sucked (even though I get this in my comments section just about every day from people who dislike my Elf post and think I’m a bully – go figure). I didn’t even call her an idiot. All I said was her Elf ideas were stupid. I said that there is no way I would ever make a mess just to convince my children our Elf is magic. I said that there is no way she does that for her kids, she does it for herself. You can’t keep raising the bar and showcasing more and more dumb ideas to make you a “better” mother and not expect me to call your BS. Bloggers put their stuff out there all the time so every one can ooh and ahh and tell you what an ah-may-zing job you’re done. If I think it’s a dumb idea I will say so and everyone should be able to put on their big girl panties and take the criticism without calling someone a bully. I speak for the moms who are exhausted just moving our Elf and visiting Santa and baking cookies and wrapping presents. We don’t need anymore sh*t to add to our list. If anything, I’m the Equalizer. I see your BS and I call you on it. I refuse to let you get away with it. If you can’t take criticism, then don’t put your stuff out there where I can find it. And by the way, Blossom has since poked me too. We share a joke, a sense of humor. Blossom understands that she’s over the top and that people will laugh at her, but she’s having a great time doing what she does and she can laugh at herself too and poke fun at me too. It’s a shame that you can’t see that.

It’s weird that you’ve highlighted the People I Want to Punch in the Throat book right when you’ve also decided to write about bullying. Jen became popular after her blog post derided a specific mother for her Elf on the Shelf antics. It would’ve been one thing if she’d written a a tongue-in-cheek post poking fun at the ridiculous measures moms go through with the Elf, but she poked fun at- bullied- a specific mother. And mommy bloggers, the same ones who proudly denounce bullying- have come behind her and applauded her and have become ardent fans. How is it that her bullying is “funny” and “honest”?

Seriously great post yesterday on the Berestein Bears and must tell you I do the same with my stats page at times. Too damn addictive. My husband is similar and will ask me why do I have to talk about him so much, but then if I go a day without mentioning him asks me when will be his next mention, lol!! Seriously, they just want there 15 minutes of fame or so I have come to learn
