17 Songs to Lift Your Mood NOW

I don’t know about you but since I became a mother (and a stay at home one at that), I find that my moods shift so much more than they did pre-kids. And I don’t have time for self-help books or therapy with a family to take care of, so when I’m feeling down I need a quick way to inject some immediate joy into my life. My way? Putting on a playlist of songs that ALWAYS lift my mood.

Lift your mood in 3 minutes flat - toulouse and tonicHere’s my list:

1. Happy – Pharrell Williams

2. Rude – Magic

3. All About That Bass – Meghan Trainor

4. I’m Yours – Jason Mraz

5. Say Hey (I Love You) – Michael Franti and Spearhead

6. Come On Eileen – Dexy’s Midnight Runners

7. Flake – Jack Johnson

8. Kiss – Prince

9. Hey Jealousy – Gin Blossoms

10. Sweet Child of Mind – Guns & Roses

11. Don’t Save Me – Haim

12.  Brown-eyed Girl – Van Morrison

13.  Amsterdam – Guster

14. Get Lucky – Daft Punk

15. Blurred Lines – Robin Thicke

16. Crazy In Love – Beyonce

17.  Mr. Jones – Counting Crows

You can make you own playlist too. Every time you hear a song that makes you want to dance around the room, jot down the title. Within a few days or a week, you’ll have a play list that’ll be a pick-me-up for you anytime you need it – and if you’re like me, you’ll need it a lot!

Make yourself a “Get happy” list!  You deserve it, mom!
